Europe to allocate €83 mn for refugees in Greece

BRUSSELS, Jul. 23 (MNA) –The European Commission approved on Friday a plan of emergency aid to address the situation of migrants and refugees in Greece.

Reports of the European Union indicate that Greece, including the latest financial aid, has received nearly 345 million euros in terms of emergency aid since early 2015 to face the current immigration crisis.

Such support is handled by the local authorities, as well as by different non-governmental organizations and international agencies.

Also was published today that Greece will receive until 2020 more than 500 million euros from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Internal Security Fund.
